Durham’s Tatiana Birgisson is packing up samples and preparing to become the first ever beverage founder to pitch at the Google for Entrepreneurs annual demo day on April 2.
CNN Money just covered Tatiana’s story, including her creation of the locally produced Mati energy drink and her upcoming journey to Silicon Valley. It’s a fizzy David vs. Goliath tale, with Tatiana, a Duke student, as the upstart outselling Red Bull in Triangle stores such as Whole Foods.
Would you like to speak with Tatiana about her adventure or book her an an in studio guest?
Tatiana came out of the SOAR program — which coaches female entrepreneurs — and runs all-natural Mati out of the American Underground startup hub. She earned the opportunity to pitch Google through a local competition run through the American Underground, which is a Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub. In addition to her pitch, Tatiana will have cans for Silicon Valley venture capitalists to sample. Should be a high energy experience all around!
